Office Manager
This is a full-time position for an Office Manager, based in our Washington D.C. headquarters. The office manager is essential to the success of our local. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of having worked in a fast-paced office environment and be capable of handling multiple and diverse assignments. The office manager is an essential point of contact for WBNG bargaining units and will primarily work with staff and leadership to support the administrative needs of the office such as time, travel, and expense reporting, manage the membership database, and administer various communication and productivity technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Process incoming monthly memberships and per capita dues payments to the national office;
- Manage and analyzing a database of member data, with information from a variety of sources;
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to staff such as filing, recording, maintaining records, maintaining adequate stock of office supplies, copying, posting and other similar duties;
- Provide logistical support for Union meetings, events, and actions;
- Set up and maintain relationships with vendors and administer communication and productivity tools such as Zoom, Asana, ActionNetwork, and ActionBuilder;
- Assist with bookkeeping and human resources duties such processing invoices, employee time tracking and expenses, annual Department of Labor and IRS filings, and accounts receivable;
- Produce monthly membership report;
- Assisting the WBNG President and Executive Director;
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrate proficiency in multiple applications including but not limited to, Word, Excel, and all related software;
- Effective time management skills, including demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of stakeholders;
- In-depth understanding of office management and daily operations;
- Data management skills and proficiency;
- Ability to learn and train others on how to use a variety of applications such as Asana, Zoom, Action Network, and QuickBooks Time and Expense;
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Real world analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively;
- Flexibility and responsiveness with the ability to multitask to address the organization’s needs;
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Salary and Benefits: The starting salary for this job is $78,296.50 per year, and the position comes with substantial benefits. This position is covered by a current collective bargaining agreement with OPEIU Local 2 that includes the opportunity for at least 10 telework days per month.
