The top agenda item at the next meeting of the Washington-Baltimore News Guild membership will be nominations and an election of delegates to The NewsGuild Sector conference and the Communications Workers of America convention in Pittsburgh in August.
The Saturday, April 1 Local 32035 meeting, open to all WBNG members, will begin at 10 a.m. in the Guild’s Baltimore office, 806 N. Calvert St., which is a few blocks north of the Baltimore Sun building (501 N. Calvert).
The meeting also will feature nominations and an election to fill an At-Large Delegate vacancy on the WBNG Executive Council.
The gathering will be the second of five WBNG General Membership meetings [link to Local Action: minutes of previous GM and Executive Council meetings] this year.
On Wednesday, July 19, at 7 p.m., WBNG members will convene in the Washington office for the annual Front Page and Guild Service Awards ceremonies.
The last two meetings of the year will take place Saturday, Sept. 9 (10 a.m.), in the Baltimore office, and Saturday, Dec. 9 (10 a.m.), in the Washington office, 1225 Eye St. NW, Suite 300.
