Washington Baltimore Newspaper Guild members rolled out their talents in the DC Metropolitan Council AFL-CIO’s 23rd annual “Bowling for Gold” event.
WBNG Vice President Tim Fitzgerald and Treasurer Amy Lampkin anchored a team of Guild members at the Crofton Bowling Centre, taking part in a benefit for the labor council’s Community Services Agency, which puts the proceeds towards its Emergency Assistance Fund.
Other team members were Brendan Bailey, Russell Drapkin, Mike Noonan, Emmy Torre, Deborah Noonan, Whitney Shalda, Melissa Carson.
(Note: Mike Noonan retired from the AFL-CIO five days later. A 32-year veteran of the labor movement, Mike had been a Guild member since he began work at the AFL-CIO in 1989. Congratulations, Mike, and thanks for your years of service to the Guild.)
