WBNG – Communications Workers of America Local 32035 and OLMS have entered into a voluntary settlement agreement resolving a complaint that was filed regarding the January 2017 election. Pursuant to that agreement, OLMS will supervise a new election for the offices of Local 32035 President, Vice President, and Secretary. OLMS is responsible for assuring that the election is conducted in accordance with Title IV of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (LMRDA) and, insofar as lawful and practicable, the union constitution and bylaws.
The supervised election process has just begun and the election will not be held until September or October. Election rules will be formulated at a pre-election conference to be held in a few weeks which will be open to all members who desire to attend. More information will be provided as it becomes available. In the meantime, all communications regarding the election will be issued, or approved in advance, by OLMS Election Coordinator Mark Coldren. He can be reached at (202) 513-7325 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
