Nominations for TNG-CWA’s annual recognition of excellence in local-union leadership were opened earlier this year, with a deadline for submission of May 15.
Given annually for outstanding service to the Guild at the local level, the Charles B. Dale Service Award is open to TNG members who serve in an unpaid capacity as local officers or in other responsible local-union positions.
The award will be presented at the 34,000-member NewsGuild Sector Conference in Detroit on June 7.
The NewsGuild is the new name for The Newspaper Guild, one of nine sectors in the 750,000-member Communications Workers of America.
