Matt Tustison was a sports copy editor at The Baltimore Sun from September 2007 to
May 2009. He served in every role on the sports copy desk -- rim editor, late news
editor and slot editor. He previously worked as a sports copy editor at the St. Paul
Pioneer Press in St. Paul, Minn., from 2002 to 2006 and as a freelance sports reporter
for the Associated Press in Minneapolis from 2001 to 2007. He now works as an editor
at Red Line Editorial Inc. in Burnsville, Minn. He graduated summa cum laude (B.A.,
print journalism) from the University of St. Thomas in his native St. Paul in 2001.
He wrote about copy editors as the unsung heroes of the newsroom, and was one of
two copy editors for the site.
