Linda L. Linley

Linda L. Linley has been a journalist for more than 30 years. She started at The Morning Herald in Hagerstown, Md., as a reporter covering local government and police in a county in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. She moved to Baltimore to work at the now-defunct News American, where she became an assistant city editor. When the News American ceased operation, she moved to The Philadelphia Inquirer, where she worked as an editor for 15 years. She returned to Baltimore in 2001 and started work at The Sun as a reporter and then returned to editing for the metro desk. She was laid off from The Sun, along with 60 colleagues, in April 2009.

She contributed an essay on going back to reporting and was one of the initial content editors on the site.
