Jiho Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States with her
three sisters at the age of 10. A University of Michigan graduate, she was a graphic
designer in special sections at The Baltimore Sun from 1996-2008, where she won more
Extra Mile and other professional awards than she is interested in counting. She
enjoyed meeting and working with a broad range of talented artists and outstanding
people at The Sun and cherishes the chance she had to flex her design muscles on
projects involving holiday gifts, weddings, diversity and fashion. One highlight:
helming three Fashion Baltimore sections, in which she planned themes, scouted locations,
chose and even housed models, lugged $6,000 outfits up and down flights of stairs
and learned how to tape the bottoms of Jimmy Choo shoes.
